Meet Joy!

About me

I am Joy Bots from Touch of Harmony Massage in Hilversum. I help people suffering from various physical issues—whether caused by stress, trauma, poor posture, an injury, or any other reason that makes you feel like you need a massage. For my signature massage, I use a combination of five different techniques: sports, relaxation, trigger point, deep tissue, and Thai massage. Want to know more about the signature massage? Everyone is welcome

My core principle is that everyone is welcome. Regardless of age, culture, or gender, you are welcome exactly as you are. I operate based on the philosophy of unconditional love, but not unconditional tolerance.

Emotional and physical safety are my top priorities. There is always space here to be vulnerable, allowing you to truly feel what is alive in your body and let go of what no longer serves you. Whatever comes up, it is welcome.

As a massage therapist, I am enthusiastic and incredibly eager to learn; I am constantly developing myself so that I can support you even better. People often describe me as someone with a pleasant, lively energy who enjoys a good conversation and genuine connection. At the same time, I deeply cherish peace and quiet. It is precisely this balance of my own that allows me to seamlessly adapt to whatever you need in the moment. Do you feel like chatting, or would you prefer to drift away in total silence for an hour and a half? I follow your rhythm.

Why did I choose to give massages?

I have lived in the Netherlands my whole life. I dance, act, write poetry, do yoga and I also give massages. After I graduated from the dance academy in 2020, I started to develop my massage skills more and I have now become a professional masseuse.

I chose to become a masseuse because all of the artists from my dance academy were suffering from a lot of pain in their bodies. I experienced it myself, being an artist is physically demanding, and people usually underestimate that. I have always been a person that loves to help others and so I really wanted to help every artist who was struggling physically.

But without knowing anything about the muscles or the source of the pain, I couldn't do anything for fear of making it worse. That’s why I decided to take a massage course and continued studying on my own to expand my knowledge so I could help artists. Eventually, I began to branch out, and now I help anyone who needs it. I love seeing the difference I can make for my clients—which is exactly why I’ll keep doing this for a long time to come!

When I’m not giving massages, you’ll likely find me on the dance floor or helping people as a coach. Curious about that side of me? Then take a look at  More of Joy
